How it works

  1. Add your trucks and your crew. Type a VIN and the year, make and model fill in. Invite drivers by email — they set up their own login.
  2. Drivers run the day from their phone. Pre-trip with photos and odometer, then today's stops: navigate, call, update status, flag dispatch.
  3. You dispatch — and the records are ready to hand over. Assign and move work, watch the map, and pull a truck's full inspection record as a PDF when an inspector asks.

The problems you’ve stopped noticing

None of these feels like a problem. Each one is just how the morning goes. Together they are the reason the day runs you instead of the other way round.

“My daily logistics used to be complete chaos before I designed this software. I didn’t think of any of it as a problem — it was just the job.” — Coleman O’Flaherty, founder — hauling and demolition operator
  • You know what came in this month. You don’t know which jobs lost money, or how much. Each job’s price against the hours, the dump fees and the fuel that went into it. The ones that didn’t pay, who still owes you, and what an hour of each truck costs — worked out from what the crew already logs.
  • The 6 AM group text with the day’s addresses, and the 6:40 call asking for one of them again. Each driver sees their own stops, in order, with the address and your notes on the phone they already carry.
  • A receipt in the glovebox from a dump run three jobs ago, and no idea which job it belonged to. The ticket is photographed at the gate against the job, and split across the loads that filled the truck.
  • “Which truck did Toby take?” asked twice a day, answered from memory. Every job carries its truck and driver; the board shows who is on what.
  • Friday’s payroll built from Monday-to-Thursday texts saying “9 hours”. Clock in and out from the phone, at the job. Hours per person, on record when they happened.
  • A soft brake somebody mentioned on Tuesday, remembered on Thursday at the weigh station. The pre-trip is a checklist with photos; a severe defect keeps the truck off jobs until someone deals with it.
  • The $80 a crew member spent at Home Depot that gets paid back a month late, or never. A receipt can be written on the spot — where, how much, who approved — and sits on the “owed to crew” list until it’s reimbursed.
  • The customer who calls to ask when the truck is coming, while the driver is on the phone asking where it’s going. Status updates from the driver’s screen, so the office knows without calling.

You don’t need to know which of these is costing you. Put one day’s jobs in and see what stops happening.

What it does

  • Inspections from the phone. Pre- and post-trip inspections from the driver's phone: four corner photos, the odometer on each pre-trip, defects logged with severity and photos. A driver can't start a job until that day's pre-trip is complete.
  • Bad defects ground the truck. A severe defect keeps the truck off jobs until it's marked resolved or the owner overrides it with a note. Either way, it's on record.
  • A records PDF per truck. The inspections, defects, repairs and groundings logged for a truck over any date range, in one document you can hand over — the DOT-audit export on each truck's card. It is a copy of what was entered, not a certification.
  • A driver app on any phone. Today's stops, one-tap navigate and call — to the pickup and to the drop-off — status updates and a need-info flag back to the office. Crew on the job see it too. No app store needed.
  • Live truck map (Pro). Every truck with a live location, a route line to its next stop, and a list of who's live, offline or silent.
  • Time clock and labor. Clock-ins, breaks and hours per driver, with labor cost on each shift and a record of every corrected punch.
  • Receipts, in and out. Fuel, tolls, dump fees and scrap-yard payouts logged against the truck and the job with a photo — or written on the spot when there’s no paper. Dump fees split across the loads that filled the truck; out-of-pocket receipts sit on an “owed to crew” list until they’re paid back.
  • Job profitability (Pro). Revenue, labor and dump fees per job, truck and driver — with every flagged price and how it was settled on record.
  • The little guy’s price, at any size. Per truck, with no minimums and no per-seat fees, so one truck is a real account and fifty is the same app at the same price per truck. Drivers and dispatchers are free.

Pricing

Every new company gets 7 days of Pro on all its trucks — no card — and the 7 days start when you add your first truck, not when you sign up. After that you pay per truck for the ones you keep; a truck that isn't paid for locks, and its records stay.

Questions

Is RelayPoint an ELD or an hours-of-service log?

No. The time clock tracks work hours and pay. It isn't a certified ELD and doesn't replace one where your trucks need it.

What can I hand an inspector who asks for a truck's inspection records?

From any truck's page, download its records PDF for the dates they ask about: the pre- and post-trip inspections logged in RelayPoint, each defect with who resolved it and when, grounding history, and maintenance records. Archived records are included. It covers what was entered in RelayPoint — an audit can ask for records RelayPoint doesn't keep, such as driver qualification files and hours-of-service logs.

Do my drivers need to download an app?

No. RelayPoint runs in the phone's browser, and drivers can add it to their home screen for a full-screen app. You invite them by email.

How are trucks counted for pricing?

Each truck is paid for on its own — $9 or $19 a month billed annually, $12 or $24 month to month. Every truck is on the same plan, Standard or Pro. Drivers and dispatchers don't cost extra, and there's no minimum.

What happens after the 7-day Pro trial?

Every new company gets 7 days of Pro on all its trucks, no card — every truck, so you try your whole company, not part of it. The 7 days start when you add your first truck, so signing up today and setting up next week costs you nothing. Before the trial ends, pay for the trucks you keep. A truck that isn't paid for locks: it can't take new work, but its inspections and records stay viewable and exportable. Locking a truck doesn't delete anything.

What happens if I stop paying?

The truck locks: it can't take new jobs, inspections or receipts. Locking doesn't delete anything — you can still read everything it logged and pull its records PDF. Pay for it again and it picks up where it left off. With no paid truck at all, the account is read-only until you do. An account with nothing paid and no activity for 90 days is closed automatically, and a closed account is deleted three years after it closes; we email the owner when it closes, and again 30 days before it is deleted.

Can I get my records out?

Yes. Every plan has the per-truck records PDF. Pro adds CSV exports from Reports — jobs, trucks, drivers, clients and price flags.

Who can see pay rates and labor cost?

Pay rates are visible to the owner only. On Pro, the owner can choose to let dispatchers see labor cost.

What happens when a driver leaves?

Deactivate them. They lose access right away and drop off the rosters, and every inspection, job and punch they logged stays on record.

Can customers send us work orders?

Yes. Every company gets a request form at its own link — your logo, your words, your own fields (a gate code, a container size, a preferred day) and optional photos. Put the link on your website, your Google listing or a text. A request lands in your inbox and becomes a job in one click. It is your form, not a marketplace, and it doesn’t take payment.

Does it do invoicing or take customer payments?

Invoices, yes: a numbered invoice for a job or a client’s month of them, with a link the customer opens and prints, and an email that carries it. No card processing: the check, the cash at the curb or the card you ran elsewhere is recorded against the job, so the invoice reads paid, part paid or unpaid and Reports show what was collected and what is still owed.

What about money a scrap yard pays us?

A receipt has a direction. A transfer station is money out; a scrap yard or an e-waste buyer that pays you is money in, on the same screen, and it nets against the job’s disposal cost. Drivers log either with a photo. A refund on an earlier receipt is a third kind, recorded by the office.

How do I pay?

In the app. The Billing page lists every truck with its price and due date — tick the trucks, choose monthly or annual, and pay by card through Stripe. Switching between Standard and Pro moves every truck at once.
